Got up early and went to the Hamptons with Larry. We had to pick up some carburetors that Larry's friend bought in a buy out. It was great to see our friends Carol and Larry. We stayed for awhile and had pastries that we brought out to them.

Went to Mom's 85th birthday party at Joe and Lenore's tonight. Had a lovely time and really enjoyed the evening. Love going to their house...it's always a good time.

TGIF Went out with Tom & Kathy to Palmers for dinner and drinks.

Sophia had story hour today ...Nico played with another child's toy train and couldn't hold back the tears when he returned it to the child when he was leaving. I told him that he should put it on his list for Santa.
Jenn & I went to our Weight Watchers meeting and I wasn't dissappointed with gaining .8 lb. Not bad for the week after thanksgiving holiday and a party.(and apple pie, I had to finish it up!)the new program has started and we'll have to learn the new points plus system. I finally got my replacement for the pedometer that I have been waiting for!

Pizza for dinner tonight.Took a half hour walk through the neighborhood after dinner and it felt good to get out there...earned 2 extra points!

RAINY, RAINY day today. Sophia was the leader at nursery school and had to bring the snacks today. Larry came over and picked up Nico so that didn't have to bring him along to school with all the rain and all I had to carry.

After lunch, we made Christmas collages with all the flyers and advertisements from the mail. That kept them busy for a long time.

Made beef stew tonight and it came out yummy.

Took the kids out for a long walk this morning and stopped to watch the workers picking up the leaves in the neighborhood. Nico is fascinated with all kinds of trucks and this was right up his alley. They enjoyed watching the front end loader put the leaves into the dump truck. After that, we stopped by Nana's house for a visit and the kids had fun playing with all the toys that Nana keeps for them.

When I picked Sophia up from class this morning, her teacher told me that she was writing her name different today... She was spelling it Sfea instead of the usual SOPHIA. When I asked her later why she changed the spelling she replied "well grandma my name sounds like it should have an "F" in it So -phi -a. so I'm going to spell it S-F-E-A" And this is coming from a 4 year old!!!!!!!!

Went out tonight after dinner to pick out towels for the bathroom.... can't wait til this project is totally completed! Bed, Bath & beyond didn't have the color that I was looking for, but I found some towels in Macy's that I like so I bought 4 hand towels. I'll wash one of them before removing all the tags to make sure they wash well.
