Went to out to lunch and to the movies with Jenn. We went into Rockville Centre and had lunch at Cabo, a mexican restaurant. We enjoyed the chips and salsa with our strawberry margherittas, then had our meals of tacos and Quessadillas. We had some time to spare so we stayed in RVC and did some shopping at a little store called "Guilty Indulgence" and bought a cute evening bag for an upcoming wedding that I'm going to.

We drove to Lynbrook where we saw Eclipse, the 3rd movie in the Twilight series.
All in all it was a fun Mother/Daughter day out!

Finished painting den wall today... now all I have to do is the ceiling and moldings!

I like the color change! I went just a bit darker on the bottom half of the walls below the chair rail.

Went shopping for gift cards to send Shannon while she's in Pittsburgh caring for her brother Shawn. Spoke to Shannon today and Shawn is making some improvements but still has a long way to go. He's able to walk with help and is speaking. I picked up gift cards to Panera Bread and Chipolte.

Larry took Mom out to buy a new refrigerator this morning. While he was gone, I taped the den and then did the "cutting in" with the new paint. Larry had spackled a crack in the wall and we decided to change the bottom wall color to a shade darker.

Afterwards, we went to Jones Beach with Katie and the kids and had a fun afternoon in the water and playing in the sand!

Had a wonderful breakfast this morning in the Dining Room at the Nittany Lion Inn. The food was so good and the atmosphere was so cozy and lovely. We had eaten here before when Jenn was in Penn State and we visited her for Thanksgiving.

We drove through town on our way out of Penn state and saw all the familiar places like the Allen Street Grill.

We headed to the car show at Mcungie Pa., and stayed there for a while. The show has changed since the years when we used to vend there. There were many empty spots and not much buying going on. It was sad to see how the show had declined. We had a nice ice cream cone before leaving and then headed home.

Larry & I went on a road trip this morning to a town in pennsylvania called Lewistown. Larry had arranged to meet a man in his shop to buy some kits for his carburetor repairs. The man's shop was a huge warehouse full of auto parts and the building was built before the cival war!

It was an interesting afternoon and we left with many boxes full of kits.

We drove to Penn State and decided to stay at the Nittany Lion Inn. We relaxed in the bar called Whiskers for awhile, then got ready for dinner. We took a walk outside and visited the Lion shrine and took photos. We had dinner at the bar in Whiskers and had a fun night.

Mom's sister, Jackie is moving to buffalo to be near her son and daughter-in-law...
Today was the day we went to say good-bye to her and Uncle George
Joan, Kathy, Mom & I went to their house in Babylon and spent about. 3 hours chatting. We knew that they still had some packing to do so we decided it was time to leave...It was so sad to see the sisters saying good-bye to each other... We all hope that they will enjoy their new home and life style. They will be in a beautiful apartment in an assisted living. We enjoyed seeing our cousin Jana who we haven't seen in 5 years, and her sister-in-law, Kathy.
After saying good-bye to all, we went to lunch at the Argyle Grill nearby, and enjoyed relaxing with a glass of wine and having a nice meal together.
