Kathy & Tom stayed in our guest house tonight since they were having their wood floors refinished. We had a BBQ and enjoyed the evening outside. Kate & Chris had asked us to babysit for the kids because they were going out to dinner with Kevin and Janine. We decided to have them sleep over too, so it was nice for them to also spend time with Tom, Kathy and Megan.

Went to Long Beach with Katie, Jenn and the kids... Nick will be moving back home soon and we wanted to get to his beach one more time before he moved. It was such a perfect day. The weather was so nice and so was the company. Matt also came down to the beach for a little while. The kids really enjoyed going in the water and building a sand castle!

Worked in the "Moose Lodge" today in preparation for Nick moving home...I finished cleaning the carpeting and stripped the bed. The kids came over for a visit and we had pizza bagels in the Moose!

Went to Jones Beach tonight with some friends. We stayed on the boardwalk and listened to a band play at the Central Mall. Before leaving, we stopped and had a soft serve ice cream.

Went to Atlantis Aquarium with Katie & the kids...met some of Katie's friends out there.

Nico especially loved the sharks and shrieked with excitement when they came near. We saw a sea lion show and had lunch. It was a very nice experience for all.

Went to the beach with Katie and the kids... Had fun in the water with Sophia. Nico was a little cautious and stayed a foot away from the water until he finally got used to it. He thought the surf was soap bubbles!

Tuesday, July 27, 2010 Sleepover at Grandma's

Had a sleep-over tonight with my grandchildren. My daughter and son-in-law went out to a concert at Jones Beach. (they got tickets to see Sting for their anniversary.)

We enjoyed our time together...Sophia and Nico had baths, ice cream and a few stories before bed.
