Had a great day at home catching up with things around the yard and house today. Larry & I took a ride to home Depot to exchange the outdoor paint that we bought a few weeks ago, I had picked up semi gloss finish instead of satin. We also bought house cleaning solution to use with the hose to clean the siding. Larry picked up a new smoker (for meats) that he had wanted. Nick and he got it all set up to try it out this afternoon while I worked on cleaning the siding and trimming some bushes. The house looked much better although it did not fully remove the mildew.
We all sat in the backyard with a fire in the chiminea while waiting for the meats to smoke. It was a nice relaxing time and we played a game in the yard with Nick that involved tossing rings into a box. ( he and Jenn beat Larry & I two games in a row).
We had a nice dinner of ribs and brisket and a few vegetables. The guys are just learning the art of smoking meats but they were not bad for a first try.
